A Prayer of Hope

I pray that we, to a degree, understand what it is Christ that did on that cross for us.

I pray we understand that it is more than saying our sins have been forgiven.

I pray we see it as the way God tells us that He can be trusted with our present.

For if He gave His only begotten Son, will He not freely give us all things?

I pray we see it as the way God tells us that He can be trusted with our future, too.

For if truly Jesus died and resurrected that we may have eternal life, is there not hope beyond the things our human eyes can currently see?

Jesus Christ died and rose.

You have probably heard that phrase a thousand times already.

But I say it again, Jesus Christ died and rose.

He conquered the grave so that death is not the end of our story.

He bought our freedom with His own blood.

This is the greatest provision God has given to us; the provision of Himself.

A provision that births our faith and hope in Him.

As you hear, read, or think about the greatest event in history that sets us free, I pray that you encounter the depth, height, length, and width of His love for you.

I pray you realize that there is hope in Jesus, and eternal life is a promise to everyone who believes in Him.

A promise He is going to keep.

I pray that when you realize this hope, your eyes remain completely fixed on Jesus, even when the worries of this world are tugging at your sleeves, beckoning for your attention.

“Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, but has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior;” - Titus 1:1-3 NKJV

“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” - Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV

That our story does not end at death as Jesus Christ has died and rose again for us to have eternal life, is a great blessing for us his children and heirs.

Oh, what an inspirational message of “talkingfaith “*
